Patients and Visitors

Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is the only stand-alone hospital in the region devoted to helping people recover from traumatic injuries, illnesses, and major surgeries. Our acute level of hospital care means our patients more hours each week focusing on rehabilitation compared to other facilities such as nursing homes. Patients come to Sunnyview from across the Northeast and even around the country. We strive to create the best possible healing environment for our patients and their families.
Visitation
The safety of our patients, colleagues, and visitors continues to be our top priority. Since early 2020, our overarching concern is minimizing the risk of COVID-19 being transmitted within our hospital. We are constantly monitoring community transmission rates, and sometimes change our visitation policy as a result. Click the link below to see our current visitation policy.
Friends and family are welcome to visit their loved one every day of the week, anytime between noon and 8 p.m. (Please keep in mind when you plan to visit that patients are scheduled for various therapy sessions during the day and often may not always be in their rooms.)
Jack’s Place provides free accommodation for families of patients at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital (and Ellis Hospital) whose home is at least 50 miles away. Jack's Place, run by the Jack Falvo III Foundation, is supported by volunteers and donations
