Discharge planning: Our team coordinates services that lead to a smooth transition home and back to daily life. We host community outings and social activities so you can practice new skills. Highly skilled team: Physical medicine doctors (physiatrists) and certified rehabilitation nurses deliver inpatient care. Physical, occupational, and speech therapists treat patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. The inpatient programs at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF®).
Convenience: We make it easy to fit outpatient therapy into your busy schedule. Services are available in clinics throughout the Capital Region, many with early morning, evening, and weekend hours. Family-Centered Care, Support, and Education

We encourage families to take an active role in their loved one’s care. You have many opportunities to do so by:

Rooming-in: We have rooms that can accommodate a guest, so you can be with your loved one during their stay.
Video calls: If you cannot come to Sunnyview, you can take part in conversations about your loved one’s care through a video call.
Support groups: Our support groups give patients and their loved ones opportunities to comfort and learn from each other. We host groups for lower extremity amputees, stroke survivors, and more.
