About
Dr. Shamosh, a Fellow and Laureate of the American College of Physicians has provided primary care to adults across the northern Adirondack region for many years. He enjoys practicing internal medicine as it allows him to treat patients across a spectrum of health conditions and provide preventative care.
He places a great emphasis in taking time with each one of his patients to listen to their concerns and conduct a thorough physical examination.
He believes that this focus helps him to diagnose and treat his patients without the need for extraneous imaging and laboratory tests. He comes to the practice with over 25 years of experience as a physician, both as an internist with office practice and hospital Critical Care.
Before becoming a physician, his first career was as a physicist in New York City where he taught courses in physics, biochemistry and physiology.
As part of the American College of Physicians, he has been a member of the Ethics and Professionalism Committee as well as the New York State Health and Public Policy Committee. He has made significant contributions to the field of medicine through his work as an early advocator for the use of Naloxone and more recently with his work integrating behavioral health and psychiatry into primary care.
