Pediatric Rehabilitation Program
Getting Back to Childhood
Our primary focus with pediatric rehabilitation is to maximize each patient’s participation in functional and social activities, return to their school and community, and accomplish their own personal goals.
Inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation: Who is it For?
Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital’s inpatient pediatric program provides comprehensive, coordinated services to medically stable patients ages newborn to 18, recovering for illness, injury, accident, or disability. All patients receive a complete evaluation followed by an individually tailored intensive rehabilitation program.
Pediatric Rehabilitation: Why Choose Us?
- Family-Focused: We encourage parents’ and siblings’ involvement in therapy and developing the treatment plan. Caregivers are able to room-in with the patient, and Jack’s Place offers a home away from home during their child’s stay.
- Coordinated Care: Our team of physiatrists and therapists work closely with the patient, family, and care team to have the best possible outcomes.
Inpatient pediatric care may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. After discharge, patients may continue treatment at one of our outpatient clinics.
