St. Peter’s Orthopedics 

We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of St. Peter’s Orthopedics, a new practice within St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, P.C., opening its doors in May 2025. We are committed to providing comprehensive orthopedic care to patients in our community, with a focus on personalized treatment, advanced surgical techniques, and improved recovery times.

Our team, led by Imran Akhtar, DO, Hamza Murtaza, M.D., and Kyle Angelicola-Richardson, M.D., brings a wealth of experience and expertise in orthopedic surgery. This summer, we will be performing surgeries at St. Peter’s and Samaritan Hospitals, and we are excited to be part of the renowned St. Peter’s Health Partners orthopedic service line.

Advanced practitioners Christina Coppola, AGPCNP-BC, and Samantha Hutchins, PA-C, round out our care team. Their expertise and dedication ensure that our patients receive seamless, high-quality care from consultation through recovery.

Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to welcome two additional orthopedic surgeons this fall: Adel Mahjoub, M.D., specializing in foot and ankle surgery, and Peter Shaughnessy, M.D., specializing in hand surgery. Their arrival will further enhance the depth and range of orthopedic services available to our community.
