St. Peter's Sports & Spine

Our team of musculoskeletal and sports medicine experts evaluate and treat injuries, pain, and limited function with some of the most modern and effective non-surgical options, including advanced technologies of dynamic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures. These modalities can improve, or even resolve, your pain and limited function caused by injuries, surgery recovery, age-related conditions, and more. Whether it's bone, joint, muscle, nerve, or soft tissue issues, we have you covered.

We work closely with patients and members of their care team to provide comprehensive treatment plans including personalized therapy and exercise prescriptions, medication management, image-guided injections, and patient education. Our doctors are passionate about helping you reach your personal goals of recovery, restoring proper movement, and optimizing your quality of life.

These services are provided in a comfortable office space with attentive staff to help you navigate your pain relief journey.

Same-Day Access

St. Peter's Sports & Spine offers same-day access during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) for acute musculoskeletal injuries (injuries that happen suddenly, like a sprained wrist or ankle from a fall). Meet Our Providers

Our team of providers are physiatrists with Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, named a U.S. News & World Report Best Rehabilitation Hospital, and are seeing patients at St. Peter's Sports & Spine in Latham (which opened its doors in 2022 as St. Peter's Musculoskeletal Medicine). A physiatrist is a doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation with a goal of helping patients recover their physical well-being and return to a healthy and functional life without surgery unless absolutely necessary. They do not perform surgery.

William Douglas, D.O., CAQSM; Matthew Erby, M.D.; and Lucas First, M.D., are highly skilled physiatrists who work together to make sure you receive the best, most appropriate care possible. They are joined by Michael Plaisance, certified athletic trainer, who also serves as a provider for local sports teams.
