Kelsey Leder listened well and explained things well.
Kelsey was fine but I prefer my follow ups to be with the EP or transfer my care to a regular cardiologist if EP not necessary post procedure. I will say that scheduling was easier for my next follow up than it previously was. Thank you!
1 hour wait in exam room

I was brought to the room and routine items were checked and I had an EKG. I was then left alone in the room for over 45 minutes. When someone finally came in the provider apologized by explaining that no one told her I was there. 30 seconds later she told me I didn’t pop-up on her chart. Then she was rushed trying to get me done. It was atypical for Albany Associates in Cardiology. Unfortunately, it is not Atypical for the Clifton Park office. Since there was almost no one in the waiting room when I arrived and left, I am stymied how I could have been lost. I was told I was getting a new medication for BP and that I was having a nuclear stress test because I hadn’t had one in many years. Then, the provider was done with me.

She was just a little too fast. My hearing loss and her mask and her speed made the understanding of everything was a challenge for me. She was respectful and checked with the on duty doctor to confirm.

I highly respect Dr. Alfonso Prieto but not his office.
My PA went out of her way to make sure that I went home that day with a heart monitor, rather than making me return to Albany twice more. Once to pick up the device and another day two[weeks later to return it. Her way allowed me to get the obsevational/data care I needed immediately.
The woman I spoke with, at the time of check-in was extremely helpful. I had advised that I had just been diagnosed with pneumonia and she checked with the provider and was told that that wouldn’t be an issue. When the nurse came to get me, she seem to have a bit of an attitude that I was there, even though I had pneumonia. I explained to her that the emergency room physician told me to keep my follow up appointment since there was an issue with my heart rate being elevated. I didn’t really appreciate the attitude. The nurse practitioner was fine almost didn’t understand why I was there even though it was a six month follow up, and I think the follow up was kept at a minimum because of the pneumonia. Which I completely understand, but was still a bit disappointing. at the time of my check out, I was having an issue with my breathing and the woman at check out was incredibly kind and called the triage nurse to help me. There were three triage nurses that came to help me, and they were all amazing and made sure that I called to get a ride home so that’s why my review is a bit mixed.

A little argumentative.
The Nurse Practitioner was thorough but I felt like I needed to explain more and I felt very rushed. I had to interrupt the Nurse Practitioner and I think it was oerceived that I was being disrespectful. But I really did not mean it that way. I appreciate the expertise of the Doctors and the Nurse Practitioner. The people who check you in and out were very kind and helpful.
Kelsey is knowledgeable but there was not sufficient emphasis on the reason for the visit.

I felt like she thought that I was overly concerned with the problem I was having with my blood pressure.

It was obvious that she took the time to figure a way to help me. I have experienced others that told me that I should try a different provider to control my problem. I feel that she went and put the effort in to care for me specifically.
