I thought he was knowledgeable and conveyed a sense of urgency. He was specific about self care until diagnosis post testing. The result of my EKG and the doctors comments alarmed me and my anxiety elevated. I was frustrated with how long it took to get test approval (a week) because of lack of follow-thru (nurse out sick and no transfer of duties). I am also concerned that the test selected for me may not be as specific/diagnostic tool as other options, but possibly due to insurance constraints and management policies, he selected the other test. I believe if someone has damage to their heart, the best image possible the first time should be secured. A cardiac CT, or CTA probably would've been a better diagnostic tool. I do think the doctors are hesitant because of previous negative interactions with the insurers, but of course I would like a clear picture of what's going on in my heart, so I may be overstepping. In the two visits I have had with him, Dr. Bashant is a caring and attentive physician and I feel confident that I am in good hands.

My experience with the physician was good.However, in order to schedule my appointment I left two voice messages during work hours, on two different days one week apart. Nobody returned these messages. I could schedule my appointment the third time I called when a receptionist and not an answering machine got my call.When I scheduled my visit I asked to have my blood test done before the appointment so that I can have the result at the time of the visit. I was told that a nurse will contact me one week before the appointment. That didn't happen and I had to have my blood test taken after the visit.
