Adel Mahjoub, MD

Dr. Adel Mahjoub is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York.

Dr. Mahjoub was born in Englewood, New Jersey, and grew up in Warren, Ohio. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Pittsburgh, followed by his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2019. He went on to complete a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, where he developed a strong interest in foot and ankle pathology. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at Harvard–Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, completing his fellowship in 2024.

Dr. Mahjoub’s clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of foot and ankle care. He has specialized training in minimally invasive techniques, ankle arthroscopy, ankle fusion, total ankle replacement, flatfoot reconstruction, and bunion correction. He also treats a wide range of tendon and soft tissue conditions, including disorders of the Achilles and peroneal tendons.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Mahjoub enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, and exploring new restaurants.
