Thanks to a Breastfeeding, Chestfeeding and Lactation Friendly NY Grant, St. Peter's Health Partners’ Community Health Programs department offers Baby Café’s throughout the Capital Region. A Baby Café is a free drop-in service that provides professional lactation support in a relaxed and informal environment. Baby Cafés also offer opportunities to make friends, share experiences and participate in open forum discussions. Like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram or visit healthprograms.org for more information.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support

CARES is a support group for those who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or early infant death. This group offers support, friendship, understanding, and acceptance to parents throughout the grieving process.

Meetings offer parents the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings in an accepting atmosphere. As parents listen to others, they realize they are not alone. This awareness brings comfort, strength, and healing.

Those present have the opportunity to share their experiences, express their pain and grief, and respond to other parents. Active participation is not required. Participants may simply listen if that is what is comfortable for them.
