Nurses are at the heart of the compassionate, people-centered care we provide every day at St. Peter’s Health Partners. From hospitals to senior care centers, and from primary care offices to surgical suites, nurses are integral to our mission of providing the highest quality health care to the communities we serve.

Nurses are caregivers and communicators. They are patient advocates and teachers. They inspire and innovate. Across our continuum of care, nurses in every role demonstrate leadership, and actualize the nurse as scientist concept, innovating and implementing changes necessary to provide safe, compassionate, effective care in an ever-evolving healthcare environment. 

Our nurses contribute to many awards and accolades across St. Peter's Health Partners, notably St. Peter’s Hospital being one of less than one percent of hospitals in the United States to earn a fourth consecutive re-designation as an American Nurses Credentialing Center^® (ANCC) Magnet-designated organization.

Professional Growth

St. Peter's Health Partners' Schools of Nursing: St. Peter's Hospital College of Nursing and Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, and our BSN program with The College of Saint Rose offer a start to a nursing career with skilled faculty and practical experience.  Our schools offer Associates Degrees,  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificates, and an LPN to RN transition program. We're proud of our above-average NCLEX Pass rates, and that over 90% of our students have job placements within three months of graduation. 

St. Peter's Health Partners offers scholarships for our colleagues to continue their education, earning bachelor’s and advanced degrees in nursing as well as certifications in varied specialties. Our Professional Advancement Program provides our nurses opportunities for promotion. We honor their excellent care with nominations for the DAISY Award and Good Catch recognition for their contributions to patient and colleague safety.
