SPARC Guilderland is a 40 bed, male and female inpatient facility located just off Western Avenue in Guilderland.
We offer a variety of treatment options where participants gain physical, emotional and spiritual well-being in a safe and caring setting that promotes positive relationships and personal responsibility free from substances.
The Guilderland Inpatient Rehab offers individual, group and family counseling; psychiatric assessments as needed; medical screening and testing, along with routine medical care; medication monitoring and medication maintenance evaluations, recreational activities and art therapy groups; and individualized treatment planning with an assigned Primary Counselor.
What to Expect
Upon your arrival, you will need to provide insurance card, picture ID and complete pre-assessment forms. You will then be seen by a nurse and medical provider. Once admitted you will begin your treatment experience.
Services Available
Medication Assisted Treatment, nursing assessment, medical services, individual and group therapy, individualized treatment planning. Family counselling sessions are also available, as deemed appropriate.

What Happens Next
You and your clinician will develop a person centered treatment plan with goals and objectives to focus on while in treatment. The treatment team will determine the appropriate aftercare recommendation based on your individual circumstances and needs. In collaboration with you and based on the recommendation, your case manager will assist in establishing a safe discharge plan.

Our program is a 40 bed, male and female facility.
Unfortunately, no. We do not have any private rooms available. While you are here, you will share a room with one other individual of the same gender, and share a bathroom with the clients in the adjoining room.
The program is a 28 day treatment program. However, based on insurance authorization and individual circumstances, goals and treatment needs, length of stay may vary.
No. In accordance to NYS law, we are a non-smoking facility, but will be happy to provide you with nicotine replacement as needed.
We are strongly focused on your recovery and therefore limit contact with individuals outside of rehab. There is no visiting here, and you will be allowed two 5 minute, supervised phone calls a week. Any necessary additional phone calls need to be approved by your case manager.
No, we do not have a gym, but do have a courtyard outside which is utilized daily (weather permitting). We have a yoga instructor, as well as an Recreational Therapist here who implements the five aspects of health that include: mental health, emotional health, physical health, social health and spiritual health.
We keep it very basic here and allow you to bring in 7 days of appropriate clothing, your own (non-electric) toothbrush, and your own hairbrush. Everything else including razors, shampoo, body wash, feminine items, laundry soap, etc... will all be provided to you by the facility.
