Eucharistic Ministry

The St. Peter’s Health Partner’s Spiritual Care Services Department has an active Eucharistic Ministry Program that consists of Catholic volunteers who provide communion and a visit in what can be a lonely time for Catholic patients.

Eucharistic Ministers are trained to visit and listen to patients. They provide a continuity of sacramental care as well as an opportunity for patients to communicate unmet spiritual needs.

Many lives have been touched by the dedication and devotion of Eucharistic Ministers. Patients and families repeatedly tell the staff how important it is to be able to receive the Eucharist while in the hospital.

All necessary training will be provided by the Spiritual Care and Volunteer Departments.
