Bio: Caroline grew up on a goat farm in Dannemora, New York. Her practice areas of interest include ambulatory care and cardiology. Upon completing her PGY-1 Residency, she hopes to obtain her board certification in pharmacotherapy and practice in an ambulatory setting where she can frequently interact with patients. She loves outdoor adventures, traveling, and painting in her free time.

Residency Project: The effect of sodium bicarbonate on hemodynamic indices in patients on vasopressor – a safety and efficacy evaluation


Bio: Gabby is from Albany, New York and attended the University at Buffalo where she discovered her love for internal medicine and the Intensive Care Unit. She is excited to start her residency journey where she can explore cancer care, ambulatory primary care, and pain management. She hopes to complete board certification and become a preceptor one day. In her free time, Gabby loves to listen to music, catch up on reality TV, and go on trips with family and friends.

Residency Project: Evaluation of the two-bag protocol for management of diabetic ketoacidosis 
 

Bio: Nickeshia was raised both in the island of Jamaica and Brooklyn, NY. After coming to school in Albany, her interest in endocrinology and oncology grew. Nickeshia hopes to be a preceptor and work within the ambulatory care setting or as a clinical pharmacist. In her spare time, she enjoys kickboxing, traveling, dining, writing and spending time with her family and friends. Nickeshia loves active games like volleyball and basketball, even though she may not be good at them. She is currently on the verge of learning how to swim so she can enjoy her adventures even more!

Albany College of Pharmacy ad Health Sciences

Residency Project: Evaluation of the diagnostic markers and empiric treatment of urinary tract infections among ambulatory patients discharged from the emergency department. 
 

Bio: Ilvana is originally from Albania, but currently resides in Albany, NY. Her practice areas of interest include emergency medicine and infectious disease. Upon completion of her PGY-1, she hopes to obtain her board certification in pharmacotherapy and be actively involved with precepting future students and residents. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her friends and family.
