How You Can Help
Your Help can Sustain the Efforts of the ALS Regional Center.
- Communicate - Tell someone you know about ALS and the ALS Regional Center.
- Corporate Matching Gifts - Some corporations encourage employees and their spouses to make charitable contributions by matching their gifts dollar-for-dollar. This is proven to be an easy way to double your charitable support. Please check with your employer to see if they have a corporate matching donations program.
- Donate - Your contribution can help make a difference in the lives of people with ALS and their families.
- The Legacy Circle was created exclusively to recognize and honor donors who have made an estate gift to the ALS Regional Center through the St. Peter's Hospital Foundation through a bequest, trust or other life income gift. Gifts may vary, but the spirit is the same. Get our brochure and membership form.
- Volunteer - Join as a volunteer and support patients/families by organizing events to benefit the ALS Regional Center. Volunteer support is vital for the survival of this Center and its programs.
- Participate - Join one of our fundraising events.
- Sponsor - Underwrite an ALS Regional Center event.
How the ALS Center is Funded
It is through the generous support of people like you that the St. Peter's ALS Regional Center is funded. Contributions from fundraising events, memorial gifts, individual gifts, and corporate gifts make it possible for the ALS Center to provide most services at no charge to ALS patients.
Our patients, their families and their friends often dedicate themselves to the fight against this devastating disease by helping to build awareness and raising financial support for the ALS Center.
Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party medical insurance reimbursements are accepted forms of payment for other services, such as rehabilitation and physician services.
The ALS Regional Center is a program of St. Peter's Hospital. The Center does receive grant support from the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) and participates in the NY State Employee Federated Appeal (SEFA) program. To designate the ALS Regional Center for charitable giving, please use the ALS Regional Center's agency identification number on your SEFA pledge form.
Donations
We are grateful for the generous contributions of patients and their families and others who support the activities of the ALS Regional Center. Please consider remembering us when you give so that we can continue our needed work on behalf of people with ALS and their families. Your thoughtful remembrances will be acknowledged in writing. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
Donations can be made by mailing check or cash to St. Peter's ALS Regional Center (printable donation form), or you can donate online through St. Peter's Foundation's secure donation page.

Drop the Gloves with ALS
St. Peter's ALS Regional Center would like to extend a huge "thank you" to the friends and family members behind the recent "Drop the Gloves with ALS" hockey event held in Glens Falls. The second annual event raised more than $30,000 for the ALS Center! The event was organized in honor of Marcus Noble, a patient of the ALS Center who lives in South Glens Falls. We are humbled by your determination, kindness, and generosity. Thank you!
