Sunnyview offers both inpatient and outpatient therapy to for people with pulmonary disease, including but not limited to: COPD, emphysema, asthma, chronic bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, restrictive lung diseases, all post-operative lung surgeries, and interstitial lung disease, and lung reduction surgeries. We are one of only a handful of places that have an acute ventilator weaning program.
Our experienced team of pulmonary rehabilitation experts will tailor a comprehensive plan for each patient. The team is committed to ensuring that each individual’s goals are addressed by an interdisciplinary team approach. We prepare the patient and family/caregivers to successfully transition to the appropriate discharge destination.

Sunnyview’s pulmonary program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, a distinction reserved for pulmonary programs that meet strict certification guidelines.
Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Sunnyview's Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation program consists of a series of small group sessions that meet 2 - 3 times each week for a period of six (6) weeks. Each two-hour session includes:
- One hour of monitored and supervised exercise in the Sunnyview Lifestyle Wellness Center
- One hour of education on topics such as nutrition, energy conservation, oxygen equipment, medications, heart/lung health and living with lung disease.
A primary physician or pulmonary specialist may refer you to the program by calling 518-386-3688. Insurance coverage can vary; prior to enrollment, please check your individual coverage.
