Spinal Cord Injury Program
Spinal cord injuries are a leading cause of disability in children and adults. Individuals may lose functioning in all four extremities (quadriplegia) or in the legs only (paraplegia).
Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital's expert staff is there to help the injured patient achieve the highest level of functioning and independence possible.
Each patient's individualized treatment plan consists of a vast array of rehabilitation services, including specialty services designed specifically for the patient with a spinal cord injury:
- Ventilator program
- Wheelchair assessments using a unique pressure-mapping system
- Strengthening and endurance training
- Swallowing/language evaluation
- Bowel/bladder management
- Outpatient Neurological Center
- Specialized equipment, including the RT300 Upper and Lower Extremity Exercise Bicycle
- ReWalk and Ekso Exoskeleton Mobility Training Systems
