Children's Day Care
Mercy Cares For Kids is Committed to Excellence
Mercy Cares For Kids is a nationally recognized Early Childhood Program accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We are proud to offer a high-quality Early Childhood Program especially created to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of children six weeks to five years. In the long-standing tradition of St. Peter's Health Partners (SPHP), Mercy Cares For Kids is committed to excellence.
Mercy Cares For Kids employs a professional staff that develops partnerships with families to assure quality care. The teaching teams are designed to allow enough adults to respond to individual children while providing a variety of age-appropriate activities and materials for the group. We believe staff education is an important part of our programs' success. Therefore, professional development is ongoing for all of our staff, teachers, and administrative team.
Mercy Cares For Kids provides a safe and healthy environment for adults and children in our program. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided; and all meals are served with silverware and non-disposable plates. At Mercy Cares For Kids, meals are considered a valuable time to relax, share stories, and be together as a family group.
The employees of SPHP are our first priority when enrolling children into our program. Community enrollments are accepted as space allows. Our program is sponsored by St. Peter's Health Partners, licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and accredited by NAEYC.
Mercy Cares For Kids participates in the New York State Quality Stars pilot program. Quality Stars is a state initiative to improve the standard of care provided to children. Our program was reviewed by a state quality specialist to improve programming, community outreach, and family engagement. Quality stars has raised the bar for early childhood programs and Mercy Cares For Kids is proud to be part of this process.
