As an accredited institution, St. Peter’s Hospital College of Nursing/Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing adheres to ethical standards and our stated policies in the delivery of our programs and services. Students are encouraged to become familiar with St. Peter’s Hospital College of Nursing/Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing policies and procedures which can be found in the Student Policy Handbook.

In the event that students believe they have been unfairly treated or have issues with St. Peter’s Hospital College of Nursing/Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing that cannot be resolved by the methods outlined in St. Peter’s Hospital College of Nursing/Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing publications, including this Web site, they have the right to contact our accrediting agencies and/or various state and other governmental agencies listed below.

Graduates of the associate degree of science in nursing and the practical nurse certificate programs at Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing and St. Peter’s Hospital College of Nursing meet specific New York state licensure requirements as directed by the New York State Education Department and the New York State Office of the Professions. A determination has not yet been made regarding the licensure requirements of other states.
