  • Keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during withdrawal
  • Assess your mental health
  • Support your family and loved ones

Some patients need to stay in the hospital during part of their recovery. Our Detox Unit is staffed by physicians, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who specialize in substance abuse. Your care may involve:

  • Detox:In the detox unit, we monitor patients while they withdraw to make sure they are as safe and comfortable as possible.
  • Individual counseling:Personalized sessions with a counselor can help you identify and reach your goals. We may also offer counseling and support for families and couples.
  • Introduction to recovery programs:Examples include the 12-Step Program used by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Heroin Anonymous (HA).

Prior to leaving the hospital, your team will develop a personalized treatment plan to help you maintain your recovery
